If the resilience of young adults rely on their abilities to know and value themselves (Field & Hoffman, 1996), then the creation of safe spaces to do so is important for the empowerment of today's youth. When schools can't meet a critical need, communities must respond. The Vision Board Experience is intentional. It provides a social emotional learning experience that connects adults, teens and communities. By creating intentional spaces for social and emotional development outside school walls, we give young people what they desperately need: caring adults who have the time, training, and commitment to help them thrive. Our children cannot wait for systems to change. Communities can act now. As a mother, educator, entrepreneur, and woman of faith, I create spaces where women, families, churches, and communities can reflect, learn, grow, and encourage one another. Together, we explore purpose, build resilience, strengthen relationships, and develop the confidence to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Through meaningful conversations, faith-centered encouragement, and collaborative learning experiences, we create opportunities to discover our value, strengthen our character, support on A 1‑day creative intensive where parents, students and educators are welcomed to design an artistic vision board that reflects their inner voice, lived experiences, and future aspirations in school and beyond. Through guided reflection and art-making, they explore identity, voice, and purpose while connecting their personal story to their educational journey, family support system and future aspirations. Individuals are inspired to set goals, create an action plan, visualize their dreams, and create a tangible reflection of the moment. The experience provides a foundation for assessing their current wellbeing. It provides an opportunity to identify ways of increasing their self-will and personal power.
